Exhibiting ambiguities – “Revenge. History and Fantasy”
For April 2022 we welcomed Prof. Mirjam Wenzel (Director of the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, Honorary Professor at the Jewish Studies Seminar at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, author and co-editor of books and exhibition catalogs on German-Jewish art and cultural history) and Prof. Dina Porat (Professor Emeritus of Modern Jewish History at the Department of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University, Founding Head of the Kantor Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry, and Former Chief Historian of Yad Vashemto) to our thirteenth ABM Talk on the 28th of April.
The talk was titled “Exhibiting ambiguities – “Revenge. History and Fantasy”. The listeners had the opportunity to hear about the topic of revenge in Jewish history and learn about the idea behind the current exhibition “Rache: Geschichte und Fantasie” at the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt.
